The AAL Forum 2011 will take place in Lecce, Italy, between 26 and 28 September. It will provide a sharing-knowledge platform to discuss the way forward of innovations for active and independent ageing.

The Ambient Assisted Living Forum – AAL Forum – is the annual conference of the Ambient Assisted Living Joint Programme – AAL JP. Its goal is to gather the AAL community to show the progresses made by the new ICT solutions for active and independent ageing and to discuss the way forward for innovations in the ambient assisted living world. This year the forum will take place in Lecce, Italy, between 26 and 28 September. Members of the SilverGame consortium will present the SilverGame project and recent advancements in the development.

This year’s title is “Partnerships for social innovation in Europe”. The programme features five main themes: Well-being and care; Social interactions; Independence and participation in the “self-serve” society; European policies; and Future AAL calls. The exhibition area will showcase the latest AAL technology for active and independent ageing.

The AAL Forum will bring together industry stakeholders, researchers, entrepreneurs, end-users and policy makers and will provide them with a platform for sharing their knowledge and to discuss the way forward regarding innovations for active ageing.
